I agree 100% about multi-tasking and media. I think distractions will only increase as every website wants to notify you - multiple times a day. I believe it is vital to turn off the notification function.

I like your suggestions, especially utilizing boredom, to get in sync with our bodies and minds. I believe there is no such thing as boredom, just resting. Our minds need rest from time to time.

One suggestion: You included a quote in your story, but it was not cited. I assume it is from Focus - the Will Smith movie you were referring to. Medium encourages citing of all sources, including quotes. Just something to consider.
