I'm sad to think that Elizabeth passed away somewhere alone. I'm hopeful she's alive and avoiding social media. However, it has been ten years since you last heard from her, and that is a long time to not hear from someone, let alone living transiently since the 80's.

My hope is one day, you and she will reunite. It could happen... Also, I'm hopeful Elizabeth overcame the problems she has struggling with. I've seen individuals overcome their addictions and homelessness.

Overall, a very well-written story! It was heart-breaking in many spots. I kept reading, hoping for a happy ending, but sometimes those do not occur. It is true, "Life is not fair."
